Artist Statement
When it comes to my artwork, I like to use many different mediums of illustration and even painting to get the image I imagine in my head. Creating interesting textures and visual noise while keeping cohesive and creative. My main use being fine liners to create a distinct outline of my artwork, looking like it came straight out of a coloring book, and making my work more unique.
On top of using bright vivid colors to feel lively and enjoyable. Having influence by growing up and seeing many cartoon artists that do work for kids, creating amazing pieces that kids couldn’t enjoy the way adults do, makes me want to do the art that I end up doing. Making fun but sometimes meaningful pieces, adding whimsy or a dream like feeling, but also playing around with everyday interactions and life. Making an interesting background with characters interacting with everyday life, or each other, being themselves and enjoying life.
Fascinated by the human mind, nature, and the feeling of childhood, has a huge impact on what I do as an artist.
